About the Role

We are seeking a Palliative Care Registrar to join our team at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga and Mona Vale Hospital. The role will involve providing palliative care reviews to patients in the home setting and working within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided to outpatients of the Palliative Care service, under the supervision of the Staff Specialist.

The Essence of this Role

  • Provide specialist palliative care reviews in residential aged care facilities
  • Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient care
  • Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertaken
  • Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist Supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
  • Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW Registration
  • Primary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO
  • Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty with competence in the individual specialty area expected to be consistent with the level of training and professional development stage attained by the individual occupying the position
