What You'll Do?We are seeking a talented Frontend WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team in our Notting Hill office. As a Frontend WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites that enhance the user experience. Your key responsibilities will include developing and customising responsive WordPress themes and templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, collaborating with designers and backend developers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality, optimising websites for performance, speed, and SEO best practices, working with WordPress plugins, page builders (e.g., Elementor), and custom post types, troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining existing WordPress websites, integrating APIs and third-party tools to extend site functionality, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices.
What You'll Bring?To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience as a Frontend Developer with a focus on WordPress, strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and PHP, familiarity with WordPress REST API and JSON, and experience with popular page builders (Elementor), solid understanding of SEO, web performance optimisation, and accessibility standards, version control knowledge, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, and familiarity with design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch. You will also need to have a basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and an understanding of backend development concepts (e.g., MySQL). A relevant cover letter is required for your application to be considered, and you must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions. Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
