Building Inspector Role

The Victorian Building Authority is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated building inspector to join their team. This exciting opportunity involves conducting inspections and audits of building work across various stages of construction and occupied buildings.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience conducting site visits, inspections, and audits of building work under section 204A of the Building Act 1993. Additionally, you will require a working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Building Regulatory Framework contained in the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, and the National Construction Code.

A well-developed written communication skillset is essential for preparing technical and business correspondence, enforcement reports. You will also need to be willing to exercise statutory powers in line with VBA policies and guidelines and make recommendations for the use of compliance tools.
