
Senior Meteorological Specialist

We are seeking a talented and skilled graduate meteorologist to join our team. As a meteorologist, you will play a crucial role in using scientific techniques and data visualisation to analyse, interpret and forecast atmospheric conditions.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about science and mathematics to apply their skills in a real-world setting. You will have the chance to work collaboratively with other specialists in hydrology, climatology, and communication expertise.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and communicating weather forecasts, issuing weather warnings, and engaging with customers to understand their business needs. You will also be required to relocate to one of our operational locations throughout Australia and work on a rotating shift-work roster.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse and Interpret Data: Use scientific techniques and data visualisation to understand and predict atmospheric conditions.
- Prepare Weather Forecasts: Communicate weather forecasts and warnings to customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Engage with Customers: Understand business needs and provide expert advice to assist decision making.
To succeed in this role, you should have a diverse mix of skills, life experience, and academic achievement in science, engineering, or another field related to physics and mathematics.
You must be available to relocate to one of our operational locations throughout Australia and work on a rotating shift-work roster.
