Overview

We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Chief Radiographer to lead our medical imaging team.

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art imaging facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical imaging modalities, procedures, and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role
  • Supervising and directing a team of radiographers, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient and seamless operations
  • Overseeing the scheduling and coordination of imaging appointments and procedures
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, protocols, and safety standards
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports
  • Providing expert guidance and support to referring clinicians on imaging modalities and procedures
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency
  • Representing the department and acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a registered and practicing radiographer with demonstrated leadership and management experience
  • Thorough understanding of medical imaging modalities, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with patients, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure timely service delivery
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care and safety
  • Proficient in the use of imaging software and technology
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in radiography or a related field
