About the Role

Mildura Base Public Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Specialist Physician to join our expanding cardiology service.

This opportunity offers the chance to shape a growing service and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care in a collaborative regional health environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and outpatient care.
  • Deliver outreach cardiology clinics to surrounding regional health services.
  • Conduct and interpret a range of cardiac investigations.
  • Provide education, supervision, and support for junior medical staff and medical students.
  • Actively contribute to service development and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • AHPRA Specialist Registration in Cardiology.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing stress echocardiograms, transoesophageal echocardiograms (TOE), and reporting transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
  • Credentialing to implant pacemaker devices would be advantageous.
