Demanding Role for Experienced Leader
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the development assessment team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assessing and reporting on various development applications. Your extensive experience in development assessment and strong leadership skills will enable you to effectively supervise the investigation, evaluation, and reporting of all applications.
You will also play a crucial role in guiding junior staff members in processing and assessing development applications and modification applications. Additionally, you will interpret planning issues and legislation to ensure that all applications meet the required standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in town planning, regional, or urban planning recognized by the Planning Institute of Australia or a related discipline. A proven track record in acting as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Town Planning Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of planning principles, policies, and regulations is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve desired outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
- Expert Witness Experience: Proven experience as an expert witness in the Land and Environment Court.
- Certifications: Current Class C Drivers Licence and SafeWork NSW WHS White Card.
