Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to clients in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting. You will also assist with meal preparation, provide companionship and emotional support, and drive clients to appointments and social activities.

  1. Assisting clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  2. Preparing meals and snacks for clients, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  3. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
  4. Transporting clients to appointments and social activities, using your vehicle and driving skills safely and efficiently.

You will work closely with our team of registered nurses to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Your attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to delivering exceptional care will make a significant difference in the lives of our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in community nursing or a related field.
  2. Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  3. Certification in Aged Care (or equivalent).
  4. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
