Senior Media Strategist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Strategist to lead our media planning efforts and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of media trends, commercial arrangements, and audience-based buying. They will be responsible for building value-added relationships with media owners, internal stakeholders, auditors, and relevant clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive media plans that meet client objectives
  • Monitor team communication with media partners, ensuring timely, consistent, and constructive feedback
  • Act as the custodian of all team processes and supporting documentation related to media implementation best practice
  • Build strong relationships with media owners, internal stakeholders, auditors, and relevant clients
  • Prepare negotiation documents and monitor financial commitments to media
  • Arrange meetings, prepare WIP reports, compile deal tracking, and perform financial administration, campaign monitoring, buying, and post-analysis processes

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Citrix applications
  • Experience negotiating deals to meet client expectations within budget
  • Understanding of commercial arrangements with clients
  • Strong attention to detail, experience managing workflow, and delegating tasks across the team
  • Ability to lead and develop capability amongst a team of high performers
  • Be informed and able to discuss media trends and current industry issues
  • Strong relationship builder at a senior level
  • Understanding of buying systems and utilizing data to drive audience-based buying
