Job Title: Disability Support Practitioner

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Practitioner to join our team in Lambton, NSW. As a Disability Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality support services to clients in a group home setting, including assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration.
  • Support clients to develop skills and independence, promoting their autonomy and self-advocacy.
  • Facilitate community engagement and participation, enabling clients to connect with their community and build meaningful relationships.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Transport clients safely and efficiently, using CPA's minivan as required.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in disability support or a related field is highly regarded.
  • Availability to work a combination of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and awake nights.
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 minimum).

Training and Development:

You will receive comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development opportunities. This includes:

  • Buddy shifts with CPA's experienced Disability Support Workers.
  • Opportunity to complete a nationally recognized qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or Certificate IV in Disability.
  • $5,000 invested in training in your first year.
