Payroll Operations Manager

At Randstad, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Officer at the EL1 level to oversee the payroll team's day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for all staff.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to the payroll team, ensuring high-quality output and professional development.
- Supervise and allocate tasks within the Payroll ServiceDesk to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with relevant enterprise agreements and legislation, including processing employee entitlements and delegations.
- Administer complex payroll cases, such as long-term leave, suspension, terminations, and superannuation.
- Conduct payroll-related compliance and improvement activities, driving efficiency and accuracy across processes.
- Strong experience in managing payroll operations, ideally within a government or large-scale organization.
- Expertise in using payroll/HR systems, with exposure to system transitions being highly regarded.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of payroll-related legislation and enterprise agreements.
