Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Professional to join our project management technical capability team in Adelaide. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting important defence projects.

In this permanent, full-time opportunity, you will work with a high level of autonomy, supporting a variety of projects, operational priorities, and capability improvements. The successful candidate will have excellent administrative expertise, project coordination skills, and problem-solving mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring financial compliance for monthly project reviews, partnering with operational units, administering and developing our project management capability SharePoint site, establishing and maintaining our business management system, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance for monthly project reviews
  • Partnering with operational units to maintain alignment with compliance expectations
  • Developing and administering our project management capability SharePoint site
  • Maintaining our business management system and ensuring it meets Defence standards
  • Supporting delivery of the PM Capability Change Management Plan and assisting with team priorities
  • Identifying opportunities across units to improve project outcomes
  • Managing documentation, version control, and Defence-standard filing
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, and reviews — from agendas to action tracking
  • Preparing briefs, status updates, and dashboards to keep stakeholders informed
  • Maintaining registers for risks, issues, actions, and decisions
  • Assisting project managers with planning and scheduling
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication
  • Supporting Project Management Capability Enablement across Australia Defence & Security Solutions
