Procurement Manager Job Description:

Seeking a seasoned procurement professional to spearhead procurement activities for battery energy storage solution projects in Australia. This role demands a self-motivated and pragmatic expert with experience working in a matrixed environment, engaging multiple stakeholders, and managing numerous projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support tenders and project delivery.
  • Identify and develop new suppliers to enhance price, delivery, and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists to arrange technical specifications, scope of works, and performance requirements into procurement agreements.
  • Support the Sales/Tendering Deal team and effectively manage obtaining proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to meet tender timeframes.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement plans and equipment delivery schedules.
  • Lead negotiations on procurement agreements and contracts to secure products and services for the balance of plant.
  • Maintain robust record-keeping throughout procurement planning, tender, and contract execution lifecycles.
  • Manage vendor selection and appointment in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure equipment deliveries meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Fluence's Global Supply Chain and offshore suppliers to meet equipment delivery requirements.
  • Work with Construction and Operational Services teams to manage local logistics concerning storage and movement of inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date procurement plans and shipping schedules for project management and reporting purposes.
  • Support the project team in resolving quality and delivery issues with suppliers and contractors.
