Economic Analysis Specialist

We are seeking experienced professionals to lead the growth of our business and deliver high-profile engagements with global networks and fast-moving clients.
As a key member of our Economics team, you will develop capabilities in high-quality analysis, relationship management, and challenging assumptions.
This is a hybrid position based in Melbourne. Roles can be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients to deliver solutions across public and private engagements.
- Providing economic appraisals including cost-benefit analysis and economic impact analysis.
- Running, modifying, and interpreting results of GTAP and/or GTEM Models.
- Programming in TABLO, GEMPACK, and Python.
- Bespoke modelling of complex business problems.
To succeed, candidates should have:
- Degree qualification in economics or a related discipline with minimum 3 years of experience.
- Strong quantitative skills with a background in applied economic analysis.
- Experience applying CGE modelling for climate and trade analysis would be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting and writing up research on industry and policy issues.
Key qualifications include strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
