Valvoline Global is a leading provider of automotive and industrial solutions, with a strong presence in the Australia-Pacific region. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Wetherill Park.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading large capital plant projects, working closely with our Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain a culture of environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, legal compliance, and community relations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading large capital plant projects, following a front-end loaded project work process with multiple project phases and developing deliverables over the project lifecycle.
  • Supervising 3rd party engineering support, equipment vendors, and contractors.
  • Working with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain a culture with an emphasis on environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, legal compliance, and community relations.
  • Working with Risk Management team to keep testing documentation current.
  • Leading or assisting plant in company audits.
  • Working with Supply Chain Planning to develop and/or understand long-term business goals.
  • Successfully managing commercial contracts on all assigned projects of various sizes.
  • Supporting the development of the monthly capital project cash flow.
  • Fostering the use and development of new engineering specifications/standards that can be used on current and future projects.
  • Working with Valvoline engineering team to update and maintain facility "Core Drawings" which include plant general arrangement drawings, electrical one-line drawings, and facility P&ID drawings.
  • Preparing, submitting, and presenting assigned project requests with supporting documentation to Senior Supply Chain Management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy industrial/process work and project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Chemical, Process, or Mechanical).
  • Experience in process commercialization from ideation to operational turnover focused on process flow, liquid transfer, and packaging will be highly regarded.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
  • Great communication and organization skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
  • The ability to be computer savvy and proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
