We're currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join us and contribute to our evolving data initiatives as we continue to grow. In this role, you'll serve as the go-to expert for all things data, playing a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency. You'll take ownership of critical database systems, fine-tune ETL processes, and ensure our data infrastructure remains secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.

In this position, you will...

  • Administer and optimize Azure SQL and Postgres Databases to support business growth.
  • Lead data governance initiatives, focusing on compliance and security best practices to maintain data integrity.
  • Drive the maintenance and enhancement of ETL/ELT processes across all business units to improve data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support cross-functional teams by troubleshooting and improving existing ETL systems to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Partner with the engineering team on data modeling, performance tuning, and access management to ensure data accessibility and security.
Who You Are

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who can manage and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring efficiency and uptime is maintained. The ideal candidate will have advanced T-SQL skills and proven experience designing and managing ETL/ELT processes. Excellent communication skills, with a focus on supporting diverse business stakeholders, are also essential.

You will have experience working in cloud environments, with a preference for Azure. Familiarity with modern data lake and warehouse architectures, track record of leading and delivering strategic data initiatives, knowledge of DevOps principles and their application within data engineering, especially with Azure DevOps and Terraform, are desirable.
