About the Role

This fixed-term contract/ permanent role requires a Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in data modeling, management, and engineering, as well as cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide advisory services on data-related matters.

  • Design, build, and maintain data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Snowflake, and other cloud-based technologies.
  • Develop and implement ETL processes, data pipelines, and automated data loading.
  • Work with data across multiple sources, including Azure, AWS, and Observability tools like New Relic.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and optimize data storage systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Hands-on experience with designing, building, and maintaining data storage solutions.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in AWS Services, e.g., AWS DynamoDB, AWS Glue, AWS IAM, AWS Lambda, ECS, AWS Step Function, AWS Batch, AWS S3 Bucket.
  • Experience with Azure Services, e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Object Oriented Design.
  • Excellent understanding of information/data management, data structures, data storage, and data modeling techniques.
  • Extensive experience in SQL, including designing and optimizing complex queries.
  • Working experience in Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable Skills

The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience with Containers like Docker and cloud-based deployments.
  • Observability Tools like New Relic.
  • Azure Key Vault, Active Directory, Service Principals.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop and Spark.
