Product Quality Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Quality Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing quality checks of our fresh produce prior to shipment and deliveries to our clients.

This position reports directly to the Distribution Centre Manager. Please note that this is a shift work between 04:00AM - 11:00AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues and defects.
  • Review specifications and technical documents to understand quality requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests to verify product dimensions and appearance.
  • Collect and analyse quality data to evaluate process capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
  • Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Understanding of Food Safety Framework.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Practical knowledge and experience working in a warehouse/distribution facility.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
