Job Opportunity

Cross Care Support is a local service that offers 1:1 support to clients with disabilities and mental health needs in the area.

We specialise in providing flexible support to help clients develop personal skills, engage in lifelong learning and achieve independence.

This role involves offering 1:1 support to clients, driving them to appointments, completing daily tasks such as cleaning, shopping and meal preparation, and building personal and social capacity in the community.

As a successful applicant, you will be passionate about making a difference, demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility, and have strong problem-solving skills.

Key requirements include a Driver's Licence, Comprehensive Car Insurance, WWCC, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate, and NDIS Support Worker Orientation Module.

The ideal candidate will be driven, friendly and understanding, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with an empathic approach.

Some days may be challenging, so you will need to be resilient, calm, compassionate and think on your feet in stressful situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer 1:1 support to clients
  • Drive clients to and from appointments
  • Complete daily tasks such as cleaning, shopping and meal preparation
  • Build personal and social capacity in the community
  • Document daily case notes and report to management on client behaviour
