This role will provide an exciting opportunity to work across multiple channels and proteins, leading and developing new growth business initiatives. You will engage with primary processing site teams to optimise performance and support the quality team in managing product and primals throughout the life cycle.

Responsibilities
  • Work with primary processing sites to achieve quality specifications and red meat yield requirements
  • Support Processing Manager to identify and implement initiatives within primary processing sites
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to optimise site performance and achieve processing metrics
  • Engage with stakeholders across various channels, including lamb, pork, and beef processing partners, food services, retail, international, and wholesale customers, and secondary manufacturing
  • Review and analyse make sheet/compliance, yield, product reconciliation, service level, processing charges, and quality compliance
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a deep technical understanding of the meat industry, gained through experience in production or manufacturing. You should have strong operational leadership and strategic experience, along with a track record of driving efficiency with best practice and results across multi-plant operations.

  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of FSQA
  • Experience managing complex SKUs
  • Commercial acumen, with a strong awareness of opportunities and challenges in running a primary processing business

An estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, depending on location and experience.
