Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new service opportunities, accelerating key aftermarket business growth, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine market possibilities for new aftermarket products, develop these, and extend the market for established products.
  • Implement processes, initiatives, and rollout of Gardner Denver's Service and Spares programs, including signing service contracts with new customers and key accounts.
  • Evaluate Aftermarket opportunities, understand customer requirements, and establish Voice of Customer surveys to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify key accounts, targets, and ensure effective account management, proactive targeting for additional service work, and maintain knowledge of day-to-day market development.
  • Support Customer Service Manager, Sales Specialists, Internal Personnel, and External Customers, providing weekly/monthly reports to management.

Customer Management:

  • Appraise current and planned customer needs, advise on suitable product applications, and ensure high customer satisfaction in line with company Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Offer assistance, explanation when difficulties arise, follow up complaints, and obtain satisfactory solutions.
  • Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts, ensuring their requirements are met wherever possible.

Quality:

  • Support Company objectives in accordance with ISO 9001 quality accreditation.
  • Eliminate risks in the working environment by conducting housekeeping, risk assessments, and audits.
  • Ensure safe working environments, proper equipment operation, and personal/technical equipment usage.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a business development role with a hunter mentality.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines, and organise work priorities.
  • Able to work on agreed initiatives with minimal support, willing to travel as required.
