Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced construction professional to lead the delivery of high-end resort commercial facilities at a new lifestyle development in Townsville.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial builds, preferably within resort, hospitality or community-style developments. They will be responsible for overseeing a team including a Foreman, Leading Hand, Plant Operators, and Labourers, managing a well-sequenced build from start to finish.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the construction of multiple resort commercial structures
  • Management of project delivery within timeframes and safety regulations
  • Supervision of day-to-day site activity and provision of leadership to all trades
  • Coordination with contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality
  • Collaboration with the residential site team to ensure shared success
  • Maintenance of safety compliance and conduct of regular site safety assessments

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial builds (ideally within resort, hospitality or community-style developments)
  • QBCC Open Builders Licence (or relevant qualification)
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, timelines and compliance
  • Proven experience managing trades, suppliers and site crews
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confident decision-maker with strong leadership qualities
  • Familiarity with construction software (e.g. Onsite Companion or similar)
  • Trade background highly desirable
