Stock Control Assistant

This entry-level position involves working closely with the operations team to manage all aspects of stock control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with delivery and unloading of trucks and containers when received.
- Participate in interstate transfers.
- Support picking and packing of customer orders.
- Be partly responsible for OH&S elements of VIC warehouse.
- Accurately complete rolling, monthly stock takes.
- Manage local transport supplier relationships.
- Work closely with the installation team to ensure adequate stock availability in line with Installation Schedule.
- Assist with installations as required.
- Audit accurate and adequate stock management record keeping.
- Contribute to reporting of monthly OH&S KPIs.
- Report on all stock quantities, variances, delays, pick errors to National After Sales Service Manager.
- Maintain forklifts and warehouse equipment according to OH&S Policies, procedures and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Essential: Physically able to perform duties as required.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Coordination system.
- Stock control skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Able and willing to learn new skills.
- Adaptable and agile.
- Strong time management skills.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of OH&S principles.
