Staff Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Staff Specialist to provide clinical management and consultation services to patients with conditions applicable to Aged Care Medicine and/or Rehabilitation Medicine.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About this opportunity:

  • To assess patients in other health facilities for their suitability for rehabilitation at our hospital as required
  • Education, supervision, and support to junior medical staff
  • Ongoing quality assurance activities at departmental, divisional, and district levels

Key qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a senior medical practitioner in Geriatric or Rehabilitation Medicine
