
Sales Leader for Government Solutions

We are seeking a Senior Client Manager to drive IT solution sales and build strategic relationships within the Federal Government public sector in Canberra.
Main Responsibilities- Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute account plans to achieve revenue growth and customer satisfaction, driving business expansion through effective relationship management.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals to secure contracts, leveraging market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform development strategies.
- Solution Selling: Provide customized solutions to meet clients' needs and exceed their expectations, fostering long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional value.
- Tender and Proposal Management: Lead the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals to secure government contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within the Federal Government, promoting collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements, balancing commercial imperatives with client needs.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies, identifying emerging opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Develop and track sales forecasts and reports to measure performance, providing data-driven insights to support informed decision-making.
- Australian Citizenship with NV1 Security Clearance is required.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in strategic account management or business development within the IT industry, specifically selling complex solutions and services to Federal Government agencies in Australia.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth understanding of Australian Federal Government procurement processes, panel arrangements, and contracting mechanisms, enabling effective navigation of complex regulatory landscapes.
