
Chief Midwifery Specialist

This position is for an experienced Registered Midwife seeking to utilize their clinical expertise in a dynamic acute hospital environment.
Responsibilities will include providing high-quality midwifery care, communicating effectively with patients and healthcare teams, and coordinating multidisciplinary team efforts to optimize patient outcomes. In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to practice within current standards of midwifery practices and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Practice High-Quality Midwifery Care: Provide exceptional care to patients in an acute hospital setting, ensuring a safe and efficient delivery of services.
- Clinical Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate advanced problem-solving abilities to maximize patient outcomes and improve overall care quality.
- Effective Communication: Develop strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to facilitate seamless communication among patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate midwifery care within a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering collaboration and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Current Registration: Possess current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Relevant Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate relevant skills, knowledge, and competency in providing midwifery care, including proficiency in clinical practices and policies.
