About the Role

Linfox Intermodal is seeking an experienced National Manager to lead our APG Express Network based in West Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable services for one of our major customers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies that improve service performance, operational efficiency, and financial results. Key areas of focus include:

  • Ensuring Vision Zero is a daily priority within the operation and every action taken prioritizes safety.
  • Achieving agreed Safety goals aligned with Intermodals Safety strategy and specific annual Site Safety Plans.
  • Working strategically with the customer to identify new or expanded opportunities to grow our share of wallet through provision of service excellence and collaboration in go-to-market activities.
  • Providing customer service excellence in all aspects of the operation and maintaining high standards of integrity in service offerings, administration, and communication.
  • Communicating Intermodal's strategic priorities to ensure own team is clear on how this translates to individual roles and teams.
  • Complying with Linfox requirements, policies, and procedures at all times, including the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with 7+ years' experience in Transport operations and/or transport network planning environments. Your background should include:

  • Significant experience in Leading Change and driving strategic goals.
  • Operational experience with significant knowledge of transport processes, compliance, and planning, along with demonstrable application of this knowledge.
  • A strong understanding of transportation technology and optimisation tools to drive outcomes across the logistics and supply chain space.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the transport industry, transport equipment, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain and transport optimisation and modelling/consulting methodologies with strong presentation and executive-level communication experience.
  • Extremely strong understanding of transport operations and leading transition to leading or best practice end-to-end transport solutions, including last mile route optimisation.
  • Highly advanced Excel skills and data analytics tools, as well as good competency in general business software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What We Offer

Linfox offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits that include comprehensive training programs, career development opportunities, and a collaborative work environment. Based on your exceptional skills and experience, we estimate the total remuneration package for this role to be around $150,000 - $220,000 per annum.
