Job Title: Microbiologist/Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated microbiologist to join our environmental team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing the microbiological section of the laboratory.

You will ensure that tests are conducted in accordance with NATA's ISO 17025 requirements and/or client specifications.

  • Manage the testing of swab and air samples for mould using microscopy.
  • Manage and conduct analyses of soils, waters, and air samples for microbiological contaminants.
  • Support the hygiene section as a lab technician.
  • Undertake routine analysis preparation and analysis of environmental samples when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in stereo, PLM, and/or PCM microscopy techniques and methods.
  • BSc or postgraduate diploma in microbiology or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrable commercial laboratory experience in environmental microbiology, phycology, and/or mycology.
  • Previous NATA signatory or delegated NATA signatory status.
  • Previous supervisory experience desirable.
