Governance Specialist

Do you have a solid legal background and are looking to advance your career in-house? This exciting opportunity is for a Governance Advisor to join our team in Sydney

About the Role
  • This role involves implementing governance frameworks that ensure compliance with relevant legislation, reporting directly to the Group Company Secretary.
  • You will be responsible for managing corporate records, policies, and charters, ensuring alignment with ASIC, APRA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the coordination of core governance activities, including Director Elections, Annual General Meetings, and annual reporting.
  • Direct the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Law (or similar) and qualifications from the Governance Institute of Australia and/or AICD.
  • Specialised experience and knowledge of the Corporations Act and APRA prudential standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role working in a regulated environment.
  • Previous experience practicing as a corporate or financial services lawyer.
