Maintenance Planner Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to oversee the planning and coordination of maintenance activities for trade groups.

The primary responsibility of this position is effective administration of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), ensuring all maintenance tasks are properly scheduled, tracked, and recorded, supporting smooth operation and reliability of plant equipment and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and schedule preventative and reactive maintenance activities for production equipment, Toolroom, Machine Shop, and site assets using CMMS systems.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks and statutory compliance work.
  • Maintain accurate asset and maintenance records within the CMMS.
  • Optimise labour and equipment availability, ensuring efficient use of maintenance resources across all work areas.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including tracking critical spares and raising purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Lead weekly maintenance scheduling meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance planning process.
  • Provide leadership and support to the maintenance trades team, fostering a proactive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
About You

You bring a strong background in a trade or manufacturing environment, supported by relevant qualifications.

Ideally, you also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or are working towards it.

You are confident using a range of software tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Navision, MEX, and MS Project, and can quickly adapt to new systems.

Experience with a CMMS is highly desirable.
