Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility in Western Australia.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues, repairing or replacing assets to minimize production downtime.
  • Source and manage spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment to ensure optimal asset performance.
  • Collaborate with National Maintenance Managers and site stakeholders to plan, install, commission, and maintain production equipment.
  • Oversee contractors and suppliers, defining project scope, overseeing tasks, and verifying deliverable completion.
  • Promptly communicate all safety-related issues and concerns.
  • Support equipment and facilities upgrades to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Manage ice production for the site and associated machinery.
  • Achieve national and global KPIs related to preventative maintenance, downtime, and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance within a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
  • Relevant trade qualifications in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance fields (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Practical knowledge of facilities management and site infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of OHS and Food Safety requirements in a distribution or production setting.
  • A hands-on problem solver who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A team player and effective communicator who leads by example and builds strong working relationships.
  • Comfortable working weekends and in cold or refrigerated environments when required.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and video conferencing tools.
