Behavioral Health Specialist

This role is a vital component of our team, delivering high-quality behavioral health services through counseling, care coordination, and collaboration.

As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will provide direct counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches. You will develop personalized care plans addressing psychological and emotional challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering brief psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and personal counseling using individual, conjoint, and group treatment modalities.
  • Collaborating with primary care providers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare team members to integrate behavioral health services into patient care.
  • Acting as a resource for medical staff, ensuring alignment with evidence-based behavioral health practices.
  • Coordinating patient discharge plans and referrals to community-based resources and social services.

A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university and licensure as a Clinical or Counseling Psychologist in the State of Ohio are required for this position.
