About the Role

As a Medical Claims Specialist, you will play a key role in our Sydney team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage medical claims from initial reporting to final settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse reports to determine reinsurance recoveries and ensure accurate and timely reimbursement to clients.
  • Evaluate AIL bordereau to identify matters requiring external reinsurer notification.
  • Prepare comprehensive Claims Transaction Reports for stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all information received from the Claims Department.
  • Maintain accurate records of unclaimed recoveries and respond to s38 queries in a timely manner.
  • Provide prompt and thorough responses to requests for information.
  • Manage receipt recoveries efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Experience in medico-legal secretarial or knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Personal injury claims management background.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to meet strict deadlines.
