Maintenance Manager Position Overview

About Our Organisation

We are a leading food and agribusiness company specialising in the manufacture and export of plant-based food and beverage ingredients. We have developed facilities showcasing our commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance team at our mill, ensuring safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant, equipment, buildings, and systems. This role aims to maximise production quantity and quality.

Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership

Supervise the maintenance team and allocate tasks effectively.

Collaborate with senior management to plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance and repair work.

Sources parts and equipment as required for repairs and maintenance.

Identify skills gaps and training needs for the team and work with management to source relevant programs.

Proactively identify maintenance requirements and opportunities for process improvements.

Work additional hours, including out-of-hours call-outs for planned shutdowns or breakdowns.

**Hands-on Maintenance**:

Perform maintenance on workshop equipment and buildings.

Maintain and repair grading, milling, packaging, and grain handling equipment.

Adjust and calibrate sensitive measuring equipment within set parameters.

Work on projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

OH&S and Quality Assurance

Uphold safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

Ensure local and state regulations are met.

Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders.

Characteristics, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

Relevant trade qualifications.

Ability to plan and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Extensive experience as a Maintenance Officer in a manufacturing environment.

Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Team player with influence skills.

Desirable

Working Safely at Heights ticket.

Confined Space Entry ticket.

Forklift licence.

A current driver's licence.
