Job Title: Program Manager

A key role for a passionate and experienced leader to manage and lead the Residential Care Program in Townsville, guiding a team to deliver safe, trauma-informed care for children and young people.

  • The successful candidate will develop, lead, motivate and manage a team of Child & Family Practitioners and Youth Workers, overseeing caseloads of direct reports and providing practical support as required.
  • They will be responsible for managing the Family Intervention Service, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, contractual requirements, and internal policy.

Deliver program services in accordance with local business plans and in line with client needs and plans. Develop, lead, motivate and manage a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for the program in accordance with regulations prescribed in relevant legislation and funding agency standards.

  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with individuals, families and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective that are part of the out of home care sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • They must have a strong focus on quality practice and reporting capability, a demonstrated commitment to the care and protection of clients.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma and attachment on children and young people and complex behaviours.
  • Team leadership and management skills, ability to manage services and programs within budget, recognised degree qualifications in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, high-volume work environment, coordination, leadership, and peer support skills, critical thinking and reflective practice skills.
  • High-level communication, influencing, liaison, negotiation, and mediation skills, current Driver's Licence.
