About Our Procurement Role

We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Manager to spearhead our indirect procurement category strategies across Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on Transport & Warehousing. The ideal candidate will be able to identify, evaluate, negotiate, appoint, and manage suppliers in a way that creates competitive advantage and leverages scale and global footprint.

This is a pivotal role within our Procurement Team, where you will develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing processes, including supplier selection, commercial negotiation, contract drafting, cost reduction activities, and best practice tools and methods.

As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, IT, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to drive business outcomes and achieve exceptional results.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Spearhead sustainable supply solutions by building partnerships with key strategic suppliers.
  • Owning the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including supplier selection, commercial negotiation, contract drafting.
  • Manage cost reduction activities and best practice tools and methods within a complex and varied supplier environment.
  • Effectively resolve disputes and manage stakeholders across multiple internal and external platforms.

Requirements

  • PREFERRED CIPSA OR EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATION IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
  • EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF FMCG WITH A MINIMUM OF 7 YEARS IN PROCUREMENT ROLES - DEPTH IN CATEGORY MANAGEMENT.
  • SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF SUPPLY MARKET FUNDAMENTALS, STRATEGIC SOURCING PROCESSES, INDIRECT CATEGORY RELATED PROCUREMENT PREFERRED.
  • EXCELLENT BALANCE OF ANALYTICAL & NEGOTIATION SKILLS.
  • CONTRACT WRITING / RISK ANALYSIS / LIABILITIES AND INDEMNITIES / SLA'S / AND GENERAL COMMERCIAL TERMS.
  • SOUND UNDERSTANDING OF SAP AND P2P GOVERNANCE AND CONTROLS.
