Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Training Assessor Specialist to enhance our Technical Training team.

In this role, you will oversee the provision of training and assessment necessary for both the network business and external clientele. Your primary focus will be on supporting Essential Energy's apprentice and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Additional duties will include delivering exceptional training and assessment in both classroom and on-site environments, conducting post-training Verification of Competency (VOCs), and documenting outcomes. This will be in accordance with training plans, relevant service level agreements, organizational training matrices, national training packages, or required training outcomes for the network business.

Furthermore, you will assist in the continuous development of training and assessment resources, work programming, and adherence to Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards as per ASQA (SNRs).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, people-oriented, and dynamic professional who is passionate about the industry. You should be committed to best practices and the development of both current and future personnel and processes at Essential Energy.

A solid understanding of the Australian Skills Authority (ASQA), State Training Services, Vocational Education and Training (VET) contractual RTO/training functions, and other regulatory obligations is essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
  • Certificate III in ESI - Distribution, Cable Jointing, or Electrotechnology qualification
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated expertise through prior employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
  • Senior First Aid certification
  • Valid Driver's Licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification
  • Dogging certification
  • Forklift certification
