We are seeking an experienced Environmental Strategy Manager to join our Environment team in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and subject matter expertise to support the development and implementation of the Roy Hill biodiversity program.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager Environment and Approvals and will have a real opportunity to shape Roy Hill's long-term environmental strategy. You will be joining an extensive in-house team of passionate environmental professionals who foster knowledge sharing and innovative solutions.
Duties
- Prepare and implement management plans, strategies, and related documents for environmental compliance, performance, and biodiversity.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to gain approval for required management plans and ensure their effective implementation.
- Support development and implementation of environmental educational training and awareness programs and provide expert technical environmental advice to internal stakeholders.
- Engage with external agencies, including government regulators, research institutions, NGOs, and consultants to meet Roy Hill's offset obligations and ensure compliance with environmental management and monitoring programs.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing biological survey/management programs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with strong experience in networking with regulators and stakeholders to achieve biodiversity goals.
- Proven experience in providing high-level strategic advice, developing and implementing environmental plans, and ensuring legislative compliance.

- $120,000 - $150,000 per annum based on experience.
