Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Actuarial Risk Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Group Risk team, you will play a critical role in delivering and communicating actuarial results and insights to support business growth and decision-making.

>

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities

  • Actuarial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex actuarial models to analyze and forecast financial risks associated with our life insurance products.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present actuarial reports and results to stakeholders, including senior management, product teams, and regulatory bodies.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with our life insurance products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure effective implementation of actuarial recommendations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in actuarial risk management, financial analysis, or a related field;
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in actuarial software and tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders;
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities;
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
