Key Role: ICT Release Manager

Job Description

This is a key role in our ICT organization, requiring an experienced professional to lead the planning and coordination of technology releases across enterprise platforms and major ICT programs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the integrated release calendar and coordinate activities across business units, delivery teams, and technical groups.
  • Facilitate planning forums, deployment readiness checks, and go/no-go decisions.
  • Develop and standardize release processes, frameworks, and documentation, including templates, checklists, and runbooks.
  • Champion repeatable, auditable, and automated release practices.
  • Provide oversight of releases within large ICT programs, ensuring compliance with security, architecture, and operational standards.
  • Work with program managers to assess risks, dependencies, and impacts.
  • Contribute to governance forums and align releases with enterprise ICT strategy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of managing enterprise-level release cycles in complex ICT environments.
  • Experience uplifting frameworks, tools, and documentation standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models and enterprise change processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical and structured thinking, with a focus on risk, assurance, and performance metrics.
Desirable Skills

The following skills are desirable for this role:

  • Experience in PMO/governance bodies.
  • Understanding of public sector ICT frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud/hybrid deployments.
  • Knowledge of security and operational readiness in government or regulated industries.
