Strategic Academic Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic projects enhancing academic resource allocation and operational efficiency in a higher education setting.
About the Role:- Deliver end-to-end project management of academic workload planning initiatives
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to understand workload models, teaching commitments, research allocations, and service contributions
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, risk registers, and reporting frameworks to ensure successful project outcomes
- Foster stakeholder engagement across faculties, HR, finance, and IT to secure project buy-in and smooth implementation
- Oversight of change management activities, including communications, training, and support for new workload systems or processes
- Maintain regular updates on project performance for senior leadership and governance committees
- Ensure compliance with university policies, enterprise agreements, and sector standards
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within a university or higher education environment
- Demonstrated success in delivering academic workload planning or similar resource allocation projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, business, or a related field
