About the Position
Our organization is seeking a skilled engineer to assume responsibility for designing and implementing fire protection systems and hydraulic services.
Key duties include:
- Designing and documenting wet and dry fire protection systems, as well as hydraulic services from concept to construction.
- Ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design challenges and deliver coordinated solutions.
- Interfacing with clients, authorities, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conducting site inspections and liaising with trade contractors to verify that design intent is met.
- Leading smaller projects and contributing to larger ones, delivering high-quality outcomes that save time and cost.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Building Services) or equivalent industry experience.
- 2–5+ years' experience in Australian building services consulting.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection and hydraulic engineering design and documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
- Experience liaising with authorities and stakeholders.
- Professional Engineers registration (or working towards it).
- Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks, and Revit MEP is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
