Senior Fire Protection and Hydraulic Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic and Fire Protection Engineer to join our Perth-based team. As a key member of our building services division, you will contribute to local and national projects, utilizing your expertise in wet and dry fire designs and hydraulic systems.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions, lead small to medium-sized projects, and support larger initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in a dynamic and growing organization.
Detailed Responsibilities- Design and document fire protection systems (wet and dry) and hydraulic services from concept through to construction.
- Ensure compliance with technical, commercial, safety, and regulatory standards (AS/NZS, NCC, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Interface with clients, authorities, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Attend site inspections and liaise with trade contractors to ensure design intent is met.
- Lead smaller projects and contribute to larger ones, delivering cost-effective and time-efficient solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Building Services) or equivalent industry experience.
- 2–5+ years' experience in Australian building services consulting.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection and hydraulic engineering design and documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia.
- Experience liaising with authorities and stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer registration (or working towards it).
- Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks, and Revit MEP is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
