The Role of a Senior Risk Manager:

Job Summary

This senior leadership position involves leading the risk management team and overseeing the development and implementation of non-financial risk frameworks, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in risk management, compliance, or audit within the banking and financial services sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Risk Management Team: Oversee the implementation of non-financial risk management frameworks and ensure effective risk assessment and mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Develop and Manage NFR Frameworks: Create and maintain comprehensive NFR plans aligned with organizational strategies, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Expertise and Support: Offer guidance on non-financial risk topics to stakeholders, assist the CRO with governance, risk, and compliance systems, and support the Risk & Compliance Committee (RACC).
  • Team Development and Management: Develop and manage a high-performing team to ensure continuous improvement and future-readiness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 15+ Years of Experience in Risk, Compliance, or Audit within Banking & Financial Services.
  • 10+ Years of Team Management Experience.
  • Deep Knowledge of Retail Banking Products and NFR Frameworks.
  • Understanding of Regulatory Requirements such as APS 114, 115, CPS 230, 231, 232, FAR, and SOX.
  • Awareness of Industry Threats like cyber risks.
