Job Description

This program aims to develop your skills and knowledge in emergency nursing, with rotations through adult and children's emergency. You will work alongside a highly skilled and professional team who take pride in providing high quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a structured clinical progression program that includes online content, face-to-face study days and clinical support.
  • Develop comprehensive patient assessment skills for adults and paediatrics.
  • Learn ECG interpretation and high dependency nursing care skills, including non-invasive ventilation and management of invasive monitoring.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse with minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience.
  • Previous emergency nursing experience.

About the Role

The Emergency Department is one of the largest regional health services in Victoria, providing care for approximately 80,000 emergency presentations per year. Patients are streamed to dedicated assessment areas including fast track, adult, paediatric, resuscitation, trauma and mental health areas.

The team works on safer, smarter and better ways of delivering care, with a focus on staff, patients and families. You will work with an innovative team who maintain extensive knowledge and experience, providing high quality patient-centered care in a modern, well-equipped environment.
