We are seeking a dedicated Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to support our team in the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.

As a key member of our renal care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your expertise in haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and home patient care will enable you to mentor less experienced staff and drive improvements in patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of post-registration nursing experience and be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of best-practice renal care services in the region. The estimated annual salary for this position is $103,000-$108,000, depending on experience.

About the Role

  • Enhance Patient Care: Collaborate with the NUM and fellow ANUMs to ensure seamless haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and home patient care delivery and patient training.
  • Drive Improvements: Assist in implementing practice changes that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Support Management Tasks: Work alongside the NUM on performance evaluations, recruitment, staffing, and financial planning.

Requirements:

  • Registration: Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practicing certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-registration nursing experience, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Clinical Competence: Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, person-centered clinical care in a fast-paced environment.
