Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the finance & accounting department. This position contributes to the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, internal management reports, and shareholder templates.

About the Role
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance & accounting department, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports, utilizing analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
  • Prepare, review, and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS), adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
  • Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders as needed, fostering strong relationships and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities for standardizing and improving financial processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
About You
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with relevant professional qualifications such as CPA or CA.
  • You possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • You have a solid understanding of accounting software and administration systems, with experience in using technology to drive financial performance.
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • You have knowledge of the energy & natural resources industry, with a deep understanding of the sector's unique challenges and opportunities.
