Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Finance Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial advice and support to the Premier and Cabinet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the provision of effective business and financial planning processes
  • Provide strategic advice and timely reports on the operation of Ministerial Offices and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition
  • Lead the annual budget preparation process including contributing to budget submissions, briefing notes and costing models on a range of financial management and budget reporting matters
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting process and contribute as required to the annual financial reporting and audit process
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as Queensland Treasury, Queensland Shared Services, Ministerial Offices and the Queensland Audit Office regarding finance related matters

  • Experience in financial management and budget reporting
