Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our waste management team and make a positive impact in the community.

The role will involve assisting with the operations of the Recovery Shop, Community Recycling Centre, and Weighbridge, providing excellent customer service and promoting waste reduction and resource recovery activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the community and being a positive public-facing ambassador for waste management initiatives
  • Playing a key role in community education processes relating to waste reduction and appropriate resource recovery activities
  • Ensuring patrons receive necessary guidance and support to access site facilities
  • Undertaking cash handling, reconciliation, and accurate data entry tasks
  • Determining products suitable for the Recovery Shop and directing household hazardous waste to the appropriate storage areas
  • Carrying out roadside clean-up as directed

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in customer service or waste services, along with cash handling skills using EFTPOS machines and point-of-sale systems.

You must be able to work a set roster, including weekends and public holidays.
