Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lifestyle Support Worker to join our team. As a Lifestyle Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality support services.

The successful applicant will have a Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support/Aged Care or equivalent, and have experience working with clients who require personal care and household support.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current First Aid Certificate (ability to obtain)
  • Current CPR (annual) (ability to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children's Check (Blue Card) (ability to obtain)
  • Current Disability Services Positive Exemption Card (yellow card) (ability to obtain)
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Infection Control Training (ability to obtain)
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • NDIS Online Module - Free and Easy to obtain.
  • Smart Phone

Role Specifics:

Duties may include all aspects of personal care including:

  • Showering assistance
  • Dressing assistance and hygiene needs
  • Medication assistance
  • Catheter Care
  • Manual Handling (incl. hoist)

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Domestic support and household tasks
  • Assistance of preparation of meals
  • Support with assistive technology
  • Support to appointments and grocery shopping
  • Follow and adhere to Positive Behaviour Support Plans for individuals
